Welcome to the historic Queen Isabel Inn, the Rio Grande Valley’s oldest seaside resort. We offer luxurious, nicely appointed one and two bedroom suites for sophisticated guests who enjoy quiet and privacy with easy access to the beaches and attractions of South Padre Island.
A Texas Historic Landmark, the Queen Isabel Inn was constructed at the turn of the century originally as an exclusive hunting and fishing club on the Laguna Madre Bay at Point Isabel. Built adjacent to the Rio Grande Railroad depot, it became the first seaside resort in the Rio Grande Valley and is one of a few surviving historic inns on the South Texas coast.
Today, the Queen has become the “go to” lodging for management teams working on projects at Amfels at the Port of Brownsville and Subsea 7 in Port Isabel. Queen guests enjoy our location on the Laguna Madre bay and being close to the beach, but really appreciate avoiding the crowds, traffic and hassle of accommodations on South Padre Island. Our large pool and cabana area and grounds are private, quiet and provide a spectacular view of South Padre. Our barbecue area and complimentary poolside sports bar, exclusively for Inn guests, provide a relaxing and entertaining atmosphere in which to unwind after a long day.
If you’re a management team, the Queen is where you want to stay!
