Welcome to the historic Queen Isabel Inn, the Rio Grande Valley's oldest seaside resort. We offer luxurious, nicely appointed one and two bedroom suites for sophisticated guests who enjoy quiet and privacy with easy access to the beaches and attractions of South Padre Island.
A Texas Historic Landmark, the Queen Isabel Inn was constructed at the turn of the century originally as an exclusive hunting and fishing club on the Laguna Madre Bay at Point Isabel. Built adjacent to the Rio Grande Railroad depot, it became the first seaside resort in the Rio Grande Valley and is one of a few surviving historic inns on the South Texas coast
Today, the Queen is the perfect beach getaway for couples who want to be close to the beach but avoid the crowds and hassle of accommodations on South Padre Island. Our large pool and grounds are private, quiet and provide the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing vacation or romantic weekends. Our two-bedroom suites and rooms with rollaway bed or futon are large enough for small families, but most of our rooms are ideal for couples!
